A Place To Serve

  • The coffee ministry is an opportunity to meet both members and visitors in a relaxed format, allowing you to serve in an unassuming way. Coffee ministry volunteers are responsible for manning the coffee cart before Bible classes and between Bible classes and worship service.

Two women greeting each other at church service.
  • Our greeters are the first and last faces you see when visiting North Tampa. Just like in the building of all relationships, the first impression a greeter makes has an impact on the perception of a church. Church greeters, like ushers, assist church attenders. Often when a family with young children arrives for the first time, a greeter can show them the nursery, explain the service, assist in transitioning the children to their rooms, and generally provide a hand of friendship and love to the visitor.

    VOLUNTEER

Usher greeting church visitor at front door.
  • Our ushers are the first to arrive at the church building to unlock the exterior and interior door. An usher’s primary role, however, is to help seat church attenders. If the attender arrives late, the usher knows where to seat them. Ushers may also help greeters with restock of bulletins, registration cards, or provide on-site security. They also see that noise distractions from the halls and other rooms do not interfere with the worship service. There are also opportunities for male members to read scripture, lead prayers, and serve communion during the worship service.

    VOLUNTEER

Woman teaching a Bible class of young children at a table.
  • We provide safe, secure, nurturing, and efficient care to Children birth through 5th grade. Our prayer is that children will have multiple opportunities to see, hear, and learn about Jesus Christ and his example for all. It is our mission to support families by aiding them to help children become followers of Christ. Ministry responsibilities include background check clearance, teaching, reading, praying for each child, exhibiting Christ-like patience and love, and relating the message of the day in words the child can understand.
